Historical context and birth of the company
The Renzo company was born in Corigliano-Rossano, in the province of Cosenza, in the enchanting Mediterranean landscape of the high Ionian Sea, where the wild mountains contrast with the gentle coasts of very fine sand; a territory with ancient origins transformed by the Byzantines, due to their considerable knowledge of agriculture, into fields cultivated with wheat, barley, legumes, olive groves and vineyards and expanses of fruit trees, oaks and chestnuts.
It covers about 50 hectares, 28 of olive groves and the remainder divided between olive and citrus trees.
Very suggestive is the park of secular olive trees, Slow Food Presidium, exclusively of the Dolce di Rossano variety.
For some years the company has renovated part of an ancient square-plan manor, arranged on three levels, with a courtyard and a well, making it suitable for hospitality with a Bad & Breakfast named Tenuta Terra Rossa;
An evocative place, full of history, good food and excellent oil.

Technical contents
Cesare and Vincenzo avail themselves of the help of two agronomists specialized in the cultivation of olive groves and citrus groves. During the year, good agricultural practices are carried out such as grassing, pruning and constant monitoring. To do this, only certified organic products are used.
The varieties of olives grown are Dolce di rossano, carolea, tommarella, frantoio, leccino, nocellara messinese, pendolino, roggianella.
The harvest begins in early October and ends at the end of November, the mill is not on the farm and is a latest generation continuous cycle plant with cold pressing.
