Gisa Di Nicola
My name is Gisa Di Nicola,
and my story is made up of encounters and passions.
Born on that branch of Lake Como, raised in Latina and Abruzzese by adoption, I lived between the city, the Pontine countryside and the Marsicani Mountains
Even if I am not the daughter of farmers, the nature and generosity of the land have always fascinated me, it was my business studies that distracted me and took me, for 20 years, to the financial department of an American pharmaceutical company.
I went back to agricultural production when I turned 40, so many goals were achieved.
A professional qualification as a wine sommelier obtained in the F.I.S. (Italian Sommelier Foundation) and Worldwide Sommelier Association with a 3-level course.
Professional qualification of Oil Sommelier with the Italian Oil Sommelier Association, teacher Nicola Di Noia.
Physiological suitability for tasting virgin olive oil obtained in the Latina Olive Production Taster Center (Capol)
Professional Virgin Olive Oil Taster enrolled in the National List of technicians and experts in virgin and extra virgin olive oils.
Table Olive Taster (Latina Olive Production Taster Center (Capol)
Pruner of Olives reared in Vaso Policonico a course of the Olive Pruning School (valid for the training process of certified pruner) of which I was the promoter and which saw the leading expert in the sector, Prof. Giorgio Pannelli, as a teacher.
Creator of “ConosciamOli” and “TerritOlio”
“Conosciamoli” a project born from the need to make known the stories of the people behind a product of excellence and to make the consumer meet the producer in the shop, creating an indissoluble bond that will continue through the purchase of their products
TerritOlio is the discovery of the national olive growing area through dedicated trip to the places of production and an in-depth study of the historical and artistic aspects as well as local crafts, the small villages connected to it, an exclusive Italian heritage.
Administrator of Oliocentrica, I dedicate every day to product selection and consumer training.
This is me.
