Extra Cuoca – Women’s talent for extra virgin olive oil

Twenty-eight professional cooks went to the final at the second edition of “Extra Cuoca – The talent of women for extra virgin olive oil”, the national competition dedicated to professional cooks, promoted by the Coordination Committee of the Ercole Olivario Award and by the National Association Donne dell’Olio, in collaboration with Lady Chef, women’s section of the “Italian Federation of Chefs” (F.I.C.).

The finalists of the “Extra Cuoca” 2022 competition, “challenged in the kitchen” on October 24 at the University of Perugia, preparing the proposed recipes live, in the presence of the national jury – chaired by Giorgio Donegani, Food Technologist and nutrition expert and composed of Alessandra Baruzzi, Cook and National Lady Chef Coordinator; Massimiliano Catizzone, international kitchen judge, Albarosa Zoffoli, international kitchen judge, Gianna Fanfano, Ladychef spokesperson and kitchen commissioner and Antonietta Mazzeo, sector journalist and taster – who tasted and evaluated the products.

Eight catering professionals awarded for the four categories in the competition, over two special mentions, among the 28 finalists, who used e.v.o. oils for their recipes. finalists of the national competition Ercole Olivario 2022, dedicated to Italian olive oil excellences and who challenged each other during the animated final “in the kitchen” this morning at the University of Flavors of Perugia, preparing the recipes that were then tasted and evaluated by national jury chaired by Giorgio Donegani, food technologist and nutrition expert and composed of Antonietta Mazzeo, sector journalist, taster and jury representative of the Women of Oil Association, Alessandra Baruzzi, Cook and National Lady Chef President; Valerio Angelino Catella, international kitchen judge, Albarosa Zoffoli, international kitchen judge, kitchen commissioners Gianna Fanfano, National Secretary Lady Chef and Giancarlo Passeri, President of Fic Perugia.
